From what I remember, it's supposed to be a giant furniture store in America. Although, I also know it's really big and you could easily get lost in it?

Why does it need to be that big? Don't people just ask for a carpenter to make their furniture for them?

[Varian's still struggling with the concept of commercial stores vs actual artisan work. ]

In our world, there are a lot of people and we don't have enough carpenters. Having a store with a lot of premade furniture would be for the best.

Wait what? It's all premade? So you just...walk into a store and pick up like, a whole bookcase? How big must these places be if they have all those premade pieces of furniture in there?

From what I heard, the store is supposed to be five stories tall? I'm not sure, I never been in one myself.

[And going into one will clearly be helpful, right?]

[Varian's aware such tall buildings exist thanks to the apartments, but still, THAT'S TALL.]

That seems exessively large for a shop.

But that's how they managed to get all the furniture in one spot. Do you still want to go?

That's a good point. And yes, yes I definitely still want to go. I can meet you there?

[And just that, off Ken went to the certain store! Should Varian look around, he'll see a certain brunette in front of the store staring at the tall building.

Was this really what an IKEA is supposed to look like? How intimidated should he be going inside?]

[Varian eventually shows up, raising a hand in greeting to Ken as he walks over. He glances up at the building, still confused.]

...It looks so unassuming on the outside. I wonder what language that is? Eye-key-ah?

[Weird. He turns to dig into his backpack, pulling out the little figure Ken asked for, holding it out.]

Uh, anyway! Here's your...little guy?

[The moment Ken sees him, he gives a quick wave.]

I'm not sure but we should be careful. If it really is that big, we wouldn't want to get lost!

[Especially with how many floors it has! But now that he looks at the little figure, his eyes widen before looking back at Varian. With a chuckle or two, he shook his head.]

I still can't believe you made that for me. But thank you. I know I said it before but it really means a lot.

It's okay, I have my...phone. [He's still getting used to that word.] I can call Fern and he can come to find us. He's my roommate.

[Varian smiles, clearly pleased with the good feedback anyway. He's always gonna crave validation, this one. ]

You're welcome. It was fun to make, honestly. I haven't made anything like this since I was little.

I see, then hopefully he'll be able to find us. Shall we go in?

[With that said, as he ventured into the building, he couldn't help but hold up the new figure in awe.]

Is that so? Then I'm curious, what other things have you made before? It must have been big compared to this!

[He nods, stepping inside, peering around at the BIG SPACE- oh wow, there's so much of everything in here. He whistles appreciatively, before looking at Ken.]

Oh wow, lot's of things. A transdimensional portal, automatons, lots of chemical compounds. Oh! [He sounds more excited now- this was his magnum opus.] Before I came here, I'd managed to make hot running water for the entire Kingdom.

[At the same time, seeing all the various furniture around wasn't too shocking for him. He had seen all of this before. However, what surprised him was how much there was!

But his attention wasn't on that. It was more on Varian before he raised an eyebrow or two.] And tell me, how are you not a time traveler? Or at the very least, someone who can travel between worlds?

I'm not-

[He hesitates. Time travel is possible in his world, it's magic, of course, but it is possible. It's not what he did here but Ken also...kind of has a point.]

I mean, technically I did that by coming here? But...not intentionally. I never really planned on leaving Corona. I've got too much work to do there.

[He will never outweigh the bad he did to his homeland, but he can at least try to even out the balance. He can't do that if his world-hopping. ]

[As much as Ken wanted to say something, he already knew what he meant. Still, he couldn't help but be a little curious.]

Is it because you still have a lot of inventions you need to make there? I know the kingdom was relying on you for a lot of things and especially with how things are over there.

[Was he prying into things he probably shouldn't? He wasn't sure but he left it vague in hopes that he might say something.]

I- Kind of. I guess.

[He's being very cagey about the entire thing, looking more than a little squirrely when he gives the answer.]

Plus, y'know, my dad is there. I love my dad. Don't wanna leave him alone forever.

[Quirin seems a reasonable excuse and it's still true! He's not the only reason for not leaving Corona but he's definitely a reason.]

I mean, it's a lot, y'know? Just picking up and willingly leaving everything you've ever known.

[So he was right, there was something going on back home. Sensing this, he decides that a nod would be worthy enough.]

Then that's all the more reason why you should go back. You're lucky though, I'm glad that you have a parent who knows he's loved.

[He didn't mean to sound a little somber but he couldn't help it. Instead, he chuckled to himself.]

But yes, it is a lot. It isn't easy to just start everything new and it can be a little scary. [Which he should know from his past experience.]
